Kay Dower uses a palette knife to create her acrylic paintings. Corners of York and Bishy Road feature, as well as everyday still life (from Yorkie chocolate to York Gin).
Exhibiting in 2021
Medium: Painting
Kay Dower paints in acrylics using a palette knife to give her paintings a sense of freedom and texture. Subjects range from everyday ‘still life’ objects (from pears to Prosecco, gerberas to gin bottles) to quirky, local scenes of York including seeing classic York buildings from fresh angles and local corners of York such as Bishy Road and York Racecourse.
Kay is the resident artist at Corner Gallery and welcomes commissions big and small.
