Meet the artist & maker

Iain is largely self-taught, though he has formally studied art history and painting and has exhibited at the York Art Gallery. Commissions include a painting of the Atlantic rowing ladies ‘Yorkshire Rows’, auctioned off for charity by Radio York. People and travel are a favourite theme. Like movies, his paintings try to capture a narrative, but he only gets one frame! He invites you to let your imagination run free with the image before you.

This is the first year that Iain Will has exhibited at York Open Studios
