Chrissie Dell is a printmaker inspired by the environment. She makes multi-layered monoprints, collagraphs and Japanese woodcuts using techniques including collage, viscosity and materials to create colourful and textural prints.
Exhibiting in 2021
Chrissie studied printmaking at The Froebel Institute, London, and Leith School of Art. Recently she did a course at Edinburgh Printmakers to learn Mokuhanga (Japanese woodcuts).
Chrissie grew up in Scotland and has had the opportunity to travel extensively including Japan, Ghana and New Zealand. These experiences have influenced Chrissie’s work. Her inspiration comes from the forms, colours and textures in the natural world, which she interprets into her designs.
